My friends for the longest time believed I told tall tales. Who could blame them I tend to go a little bit crazy whenever I decided to do something. Like so many the show Hot Ones brought my friends and I into trying all the spiciest of things. Now however far we went we didn’t have fresh peppers so in the winter of 2019 I ordered my first seeds. I got Burning Bush Habanero’s, Ghost Peppers, Trinidad Scorpions and Peach Carolina Reapers. So 2020 I had 10 pepper plants. I also decided to learn to garden that year the only way I know how: Brute force. My family and I had 60 tomato plants (wife informed me this was way too much), 6 zucchini plants, 2 watermelons, 4 pumpkins, 3 cucumbers, and dozens of sugar snap peas. Again I go a little crazy when I start things. Also for anyone wanting to garden two things: plant more than you need when you are learning and never ever put vining plants near anything. I made my first hot pepper oil that year and decided why not go a little crazier. 2021 would be my company launch year and as I keep saying I tend to go a little crazy. I converted the back quarter of our yard into garden(about 5000sqft) and planted a little bit more. About 200 pepper plants in 25 varieties, 200 tomato plants(my 6 year old wanted to run his own farmers market stand), 12 zucchini, sugar snap peas, and about 100 basil plants. If you like pesto grow your own basil, you will save a lot of money.
